Elections for the new makeup of the Assembly of Serbia, the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina and several local governments are being held in the Republic of Serbia today.
6,584,376 voters have the right to vote in the parliamentary elections, and they will be able to exercise their right at 8,385 polling stations.
Polling stations are open from 7.00 to 20.00. Voters abroad can vote at one of more than 40 polling stations.
The first assessments of the results are expected soon after the closing of the polls, when the election silence ends, and the Republic Election Commission will announce the official final results no later than 96 hours after the end of voting.
In the parliamentary elections, the 12th since the introduction of multi-party system in the country, 21 electoral lists are participating.
The elections are monitored by 3,341 domestic and 111 foreign observers.
In addition to the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights, the elections in Serbia are monitored by domestic observers CRTA and CESID, observers from the Anti-Corruption Agency, and for the first time the European Network of Organisations for Election Monitoring.
