Serbian Minister of Education and Sport Slobodan Vuksanovic chaired today the first session of the newly-appointed National Education Council, which will, in line with its jurisdiction, establish Serbia’s educational concept.
Minister Vuksanovic, chairing the session in place of member of the academy Mihajlo Djuric, who was justifiably absent, informed the council’s members on their obligations in relation to the Serbian Ministry of Education and Sport’s activities.
The council’s members were informed on many recent decisions, including a 30 percent reduction in the syllabus, the preparatory pre-school programme, the conception of secondary-school education, as well as on the general strategy of Serbia’s education, which the Serbian Ministry of Education and Sport drafted in June, this year.
