Vojislav Kostunica
“The latest events in the Serbian parliament have clearly shown that one political party of the ruling coalition no longer supports the government’s policies, since its deputies are not voting for bills proposed by the government.
“The decision of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) to no longer support the government’s programme is completely legitimate. Since in a democratic order, one cannot at the same time hold office and be the opposition, I invite all Serbian government SDP representatives, pursuant to their oppositional activities, to immediately resign.
“The Serbian government will continue to carry out its policies, enjoying support of a parliamentary majority,” said Kostunica.
