Stojkovic to confirm guarantees for Pavkovic tomorrow in The Hague

The Serbian Ministry of Justice said today that Minister of Justice Zoran Stojkovic will tomorrow, at the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) in The Hague, confirm guarantees issued by the Serbian government for the provisional release of the former army chief of staff, General Nebojsa Pavkovic. The guarantees are part of the Serbian government’s obligations towards all indictees who voluntarily surrendered to the tribunal.
According to the statement, Minister Stojkovic will confirm to the Trial Chamber of The Hague Tribunal, during the discussion on Pavkovic’s request to be released until the beginning of trial, that General Pavkovic will return to trial if provisionally released.
