New government decisions aimed at improving election process

The Serbian government adopted today a Regulation on systematic monitoring of soil condition and quality, which prescribes the Land Monitoring Programme, the methodology for systematic monitoring of soil quality and condition, criteria for determining the number and layout of measuring sites, as well as a list of parameters for a certain type of land.

This regulation also defines the standards that will be used for soil sampling, their analysis and data processing, as well as indicators for assessing the risk of land degradation and deadlines and the manner of submission of data for the implementation of this regulation.

At the initiative of Prime Minister Ana Brnabic, the Decision on the formation of the Working Group for drafting a strategy for the development of artificial intelligence of the Republic of Serbia in the period from 2020 to 2025 was adopted.

The global development of the field of artificial intelligence has imposed the need for the formation of this working body that will define the strategy and enable the development of this area in Serbia.

The Programme for the Development of Electronic Commerce in the Republic of Serbia for the period 2019-2020 was adopted at the session. years. This programme is intended for e-commerce merchants, primarily small and medium-sized enterprises, companies and entrepreneurs providing postal (courier) services, consumers, as well as competent inspections.

The implementation of this Programme removes barriers on the supply and demand side of the e-commerce market, strengthens infrastructure and improves the legislative and institutional framework in this area.

The government members adopted the Conclusion recommending the National Assembly to organise an open meeting to be attended by representatives of all parliamentary parties, representatives of the Regulatory Body for Electronic Media and representatives of all broadcasters in the field of television with national frequency.

This meeting should specify the concept of representation without discrimination of all political entities during the election campaign.

In order to improve the election process, the government adopted the Conclusion recommending the Regulatory Body for Electronic Media to adops an Ordinance that would further define the representation of political entities in the election campaign on public media services.

The government adopted the Conclusion determining that the Belgrade Metro construction project is a project of importance for the Republic of Serbia and has given consent that the investment rights on behalf and for the account of the Republic of Serbia, as an investor, are performed by the Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure.

The government today awarded a national sporting recognition to Dimitrije Grgic for winning a silver medal at the 2009 European Championships in Prague in the olympic sport - shooting.
