The Working Group on Cooperation with the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) and the Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights held the first meeting to analyse OSCE recommendations for improving the electoral process in the Republic of Serbia.

Steps towards improving electoral process

The members of the Working Group, chaired by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Nebojsa Stefanovic examined what could be improved in the short term so that citizens could have a better electoral process.
During the meeting it was concluded that the government of Serbia has done a lot in the previous period, first of all, when it comes to keeping the electoral roll, which is now far better and more accurate than in some previous elections, it was said at the meeting.
Participants in the meeting also agreed on the steps to be taken by members of the Working Group in the coming period, including holding a meeting with representatives of the OSCE and ODIHR to discuss specific things that could improve the electoral process in our country.
