First Deputy Prime Miniter and Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic announced today that he will announce next week the name of the 15th state that has withdrawn the decision to recognise Kosovo-Metohija.
Dacic said in a statement to Radio Television of Serbia (RTS) that less than 100 countries are currently recognising the independence of the so-called Kosovo.
On the occasion of the latest provocations in Kosovo-Metohija, where the Kosovo flag was displayed on the remains of the Orthodox Church of St. Nicholas in Novo Brdo, on a medieval Serbian fortress, he said that the UN Resolution 1244 protects Serbia's cultural and historical heritage in Kosovo.
Dacic also referred to the move by the EU foreign policy chief, Federica Mogherini, who invited representatives of Pristina to a meeting of EU foreign ministers and candidate countries in Helsinki in August.
According to Dacic, for the first time in practice, a territory far from the EU candidate status has been invited.
