Dacic presented Serbia's activities to the UN, and informed representatives of the EEG about national and foreign policy priorities, with a special focus on the situation in Kosovo-Metohija and the role and significance of UNMIK.
He stressed Serbia's readiness to find a compromise solution for the Kosovo issue, pointing to unilateral Prishtina measures that are an obstacle for the continuation of the dialogue.
The First Deputy Prime Minister pointed out the importance of partnerships and coordination within the EEG, and expressed Serbia's interest in deepening friendly relations and cooperation with all countries and the regional group.
The EEG is one of five regional groups within the United Nations and includes 23 UN member countries (Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Georgia, Hungary, Northern Macedonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Montenegro, Poland, Moldova, Romania, Russian Federation, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia and Ukraine).
Serbia is the chair of this group during July 2019, according to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
