With the proposed amendments the government is trying to further harmonise this system with international practices and standards, as well as with the EU acquis.
The government adopted the Conclusion on adoption of the Programme for promotion of entrepreneurship and self-employment, for which a total of RSD 300 million in grants has been set aside.
Given that one of the basic goals of the Serbian government is a systemic support to small and medium enterprises and entrepreneurship, this programme encourages the financing of young entrepreneurs, aged 18-35, women entrepreneurs, returnees and entrepreneurs investing in the agricultural sector.
The government also adopted a Conclusion to determine additional future directions for the development of Scientific and Technological Park Belgrade for the needs of the accelerated technological development of the Republic of Serbia, for which it provided RSD 30 million.
The funds will be used for the development of new programmes that will encourage young people to start a new business as well as for the development of the Scientific and Technological Park Belgrade, which will lead to the creation of conditions for working engagement of a large number of young highly educated people and, consequently, their decision to remain in the country.
The government also adopted the Conclusion approving that the Office for Information Technology and E-Government of the Republic of Serbia conclude an agreement on cooperation in the field of digital transformation with the Ministry of Information Society and Administration of the Republic of North Macedonia.
The aim of the agreement is to promote cooperation and provide support in the application of information and communication technologies through the implementation of knowledge dissemination activities "Serbia Digitized".
The cooperation between Novi Sad and French cities Enghien-les-Bains and Taverny will be officially established, primarily in the fields of culture, economy, education, ecology, social policy, information technology, tourism and sports, since the government has made such a decision today.
As a contribution to the development of culture, the government adopted a decision on the opening of a cultural and information centre in London, as the first such institution of modern type for the promotion of creative industries and innovativeness of Serbia and its citizens.
