The Serbian government adopted today the Regulation on the conditions and way of determining the amount of the annual residence tax for a natural person that provides accommodation services in ethno facilities and rural tourism households, as well as the payment methods and deadlines.

The new aspect introduced by this regulation is that for the first time, natural persons are allowed to work independently and directly, without intermediaries (mostly travel agencies and local tourist organisations to date), which will significantly simplify and facilitate their operations.
The service activity without intermediaries will prevent numerous abuses and suppress the gray economy in this field. The application of this regulation provides for the possibility of lump-sum payment of the residence tax in the determined annual amount, which will simplify the way of doing business, improve the tax collection and directly influence the revenues of local self-governments.
The government also adopted a Conclusion on the provision of funds for the certification of health cards for employees in certain companies undergoing privatisation.
In order to ensure that employees in the companies undergoing privatisation have security and, if necessary, exercise rights from health insurance, RSD 200 million have been allocated from the budget and sent to the Serbian Health Insurance Fund.
The government passed the Decision to declare Almaski kraj in Novi Sad a cultural and historical unit and that the church of St. Dimitrius with the old cemetery in Mitrova Reka be granted the status of a cultural monument.
