First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic received today UK Ambassador to Serbia Denis Keefe on a farewell visit.
Ambassador Keefe said that he is very satisfied with the experience he had acquired and the treatment he had from the officials of Serbia and the institutions with which he worked.
He particularly expressed his gratitude for the cooperation he had with Minister Dacic, as well as with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in its entirety.
Both sides have assessed that the two countries have good bilateral relations and are ready to continue their improvement, especially in the field of the economy.
Ambassador Keefe said that the focus of his work in Belgrade was providing support to Serbia on the road to the European Union and improving economic relations in order to establish a more stable, safer and prosperous region.
Dacic pointed to a long tradition of bilateral relations, which was particularly characterised by the friendship of the two countries in the First and Second World War.
He also emphasised the importance of developing bilateral cooperation and pointed to the need for more intensive exchange of visits at a high level.
Dacic expressed gratitude to Ambassador Keefe for active engagement, successful cooperation and personal contribution to improving bilateral cooperation between the two countries and wished him much success in his further work after the end of his term in office in Serbia, according to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
