Speaking at a joint press conference with Lajcak, who is also OSCE Chairman, Dacic underlined that Serbia is ready to further improve relations with Slovakia in order to develop political as well as economic cooperation.
Bearing in mind that Lajcak visited Albania and that he will visit the OSCE Mission in Kosovo-Metohija, it is very important that we inform him about the situation in the province, the problems and challenges, as well as the unilateral acts of Pristina, which threaten to destabilise the entire region, Dacic explained.
He expressed his appreciation for the understanding that Slovakia has in relation to all the problems, and said that Serbia is ready to contribute to the stabilisation of the situation and overall security in the region.
Lajcak said that Serbia has made great progress in implementing the strategic reform agenda, and confirmed that Slovakia provides strong support to the membership of Serbia in the EU.
Recalling that Serbia successfully chaired the OSCE in 2015, he stressed that Slovakia wants to use its chairmanship of this organisation in the interests of the member states and citizens.
According to him, the bilateral relations of the two countries are without open issues, since the last open issue between Serbia and Slovakia has been solved recently.
Lajcak underlined that Slovakia strongly supports a credible dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina, as it considers it the best way to resolve contentious issues.
