Belgrade, Novi Sad on map of world startup centres

The government of the Republic of Serbia announced that in the last report on the state of world startup of ecosystems, conducted by the world's leading organisation in this field, Startup Genome from the United States, of the analysed 150 cities around the world, 54 were singled out, including Belgrade and Novi Sad.

Startup ecosystem Belgrade - Novi Sad is the only ecosystem in the region that is registered on the Startup Genome map, which unambiguously indicates the correctness of the government of Serbia's determination to strongly support the development of innovative companies in our country.

As the biggest advantage of the Belgrade - Novi Sad ecosystem, accessible and quality engineering staff has been highlighted, while video games and blockbuster are marked as the most powerful and most developed sectors.

Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic said this on the occasion that on the day when Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic laid the foundation stone for the construction of the campus of the American company NCR, which will be the largest in Europe, this news comes as a confirmation that Serbia is on the right path to become one of the leaders in the IT industry in Europe.

According to Brnabic, this is great news for Serbia because potential investors in this relevant ranking list will be able to see that Belgrade and Novi Sad are technological centres of the world in the 21st century.
