First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic received today the credentials of the newly appointed Head of Office of the World Health Organization (WHO) in the Republic of Serbia Marijan Ivanusa.
During the meeting, the two officials expressed satisfaction with the successful development of cooperation between Serbia and the World Health Organization, as well as mutual readiness to further deepen and strengthen it.
Dacic expressed his gratitude for the implementation of various projects, especially in the field of technical assistance and expertise, and for the support of the WHO in the process of Serbia’s accession to the EU and reaching the necessary standards in the field of health care in Serbia.
He also pointed out that Serbia attaches particular importance to close cooperation with the UN Team and the Office of the World Health Organization in the implementation and popularisation of the Agenda 2030, especially when it comes to development Goal 3: ensuring healthy lives and promoting well-being for all at all ages.
