The Serbian government adopted at today's session the Bill on amendments to the Law on the capital city in order to harmonise it with numerous sectoral laws, as well as to specify the authority regarding certain competencies related to certain issues of importance for the citizens of the capital.

The aim of the bill is to ensure a more efficient and quality performance of the operations of the City of Belgrade based on its special constitutional legal position and in accordance with the developed professional, organisational and personnel capacities existing in the city of Belgrade.
At the session, the decision was made on the establishment of a working group for drafting an industrial policy strategy of Serbia from 2021 to 2030, and for drafting a strategy for research and innovation for smart specialisations in Serbia.
This working body will work on drafting both strategies, with emphasis on the development of digitisation, creative industry, research and development science.
