First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic spoke today in Prague with Czech Minister of Foreign Affairs Tomas Petricek about bilateral cooperation and cooperation at the international level.
Dacic, who is on a one-day visit to the Czech Republic, said at a joint news conference that the two countries have no open issues, and that bilateral relations are good and there is a possibility to raise them to a much higher level.
The First Deputy Prime Minister also met with the President of the Senate Jaroslav Kubera.
Dacic and Kubera agreed that it is good that trade between the two countries is growing, as well as the volume of investments, and that there is room for improving cooperation in the fields of trade, tourism, environmental protection, and education.
Kubera stressed that the Czech Republic supports Serbia's efforts on its path to the EU.
Dacic expressed gratitude for the sincere support of the Czech Republic to the European integration of Serbia and noted that, bearing in mind the challenges within the EU itself, the message of support from a friendly country such as the Czech Republic on this road is important.
