Government allocates €1m for reconstruction of Notre Dame

The government of the Republic of Serbia adopted the Conclusion on the adoption of the Plan of Bilateral Cooperation between the government of the Republic of Serbia and the government of the People's Republic of China within the initiative "Belt and Road".

On behalf of the government, this document will be signed by Minister of Mining and Energy Aleksandar Antic.

The government also adopted the Conclusion on the adoption of the text of the Agreement on Economic and Technical Cooperation between the government of the Republic of Serbia and the government of the People's Republic of China.

The government also adopted the Conclusion to sign the Memorandum of Understanding for the development of the project Smart Cities in Serbia between the government of the Republic of Serbia and Huawei Techonologies Co., Ltd.

The purpose of signing this document is the development of a smart city strategy, through the positioning of Huawei as a strategic partner for cities and local governments like Belgrade, Nis, Novi Sad and others.

The special goal of this cooperation is the opening of the Huawei Innovation Centre for Digital Transformation as a regional centre for the Western Balkans, based in Belgrade.

The government sent the French Republic a financial aid of €1 million for the reconstruction of Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, which was badly damaged in a catastrophic fire in the night of 15 April this year.

This decision confirms centuries of friendship with the French people and expresses the desire to rebuild the symbol of the French and world civilisation as soon as possible and open this temple of culture and art for all of its future devotees.
