Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Zorana Mihajlovic and Minister of Innovations and Technologies of Hungary Laszlo Palkovich discussed today the cooperation in the field of transport infrastructure and the construction of a fast track rail from Belgrade to Budapest.

The officials also discussed the removal of non-physical barriers at the border crossings between Serbia and Hungary and the implementation of projects in the field of water transport.
According to Mihajlovic, the special topic of the meeting was to solve the problem of jams of people and goods at border crossings.
Mihajlovic agreed with Palkovich to establish a joint working group that would work on the elimination of this problem and the preparation of an agreement between the two countries.
As she said, Serbia has started talks with all its neighbours in order to solve the problem of non-physical barriers and accelerate the flow of road and rail transport.
Palkovich pointed out that the Hungarian side is very interested in solving the problem of waiting at the borders, adding that it is unacceptable that a bus is waiting at the border for 12 hours to enter the other country.
