The Serbian government adopted today the Conclusion on the use of the name the Republic of North Macedonia, on the basis of a notification sent by the government of that country to all members of the United Nations on the change of the name.
Given that the Republic of Serbia has good and developed relations with this neighbouring country, and that the change of the name has been carried out in a legally valid manner, the Serbian government has taken notice of the change of the name and will use the name the Republic of North Macedonia or abbreviated name North Macedonia in future communication.
The government also adopted the Bill on the confirmation of the Act on the establishment of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, which currently has 93 member states, including countries outside the Asia-Pacific region such as Great Britain, Germany, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain and others.
By joining this organisation, Serbia will be granted access to favourable loans for the implementation of priority projects.
