Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications Rasim Ljajić pointed out at the opening of the 41st International Tourism Fair at the Belgrade Fair in Belgrade that Serbia made a foreign exchange inflow in the amount of $1.5 billion from tourism in 2018.

Ljajic said that 2018 was a record year of successful tourism, with a target of $1.7 billion for this year.
The Deputy Prime Minister emphasised that the results achieved in tourism in Serbia are not a coincidence, and that for the first time we had an equal number of foreign and domestic tourists last year.
Tourism Minister of Bulgaria Nikolina Angelkova, whose country is a partner of the Tourism Fair this year, said that tourism is a great opportunity for business cooperation between the countries and for the development of the economies.
Bulgaria and Serbia are friendly countries and strategic partners, Angelkova said, expressing appreciation to the government of Serbia for its commitment to improving the common tourism product and its promotion.
The tourism fair will last until 24 February at the Belgrade Fair.
