First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic assessed tonight in Washington that there is virtually no city in the world that was not a victim of terrorist acts and stressed that the success of the fight against terrorism would depend on cooperation between states, that is, security structures and the police.

At the Ministerial Conference of the Global Coalition against Daesh in Washington,
Dacic said that Serbia is ready to fight terrorism with a very active contribution.
He pointed out that it is also very important that US President Donald Tramp addressed the conference as this has shown that the fight against terrorism is a topic that is high on the agenda of the United States.
Serbia is part of the Coalition for the fight against Daesh. We warn that there are major problems, especially when it comes to recruiting foreign fighters from our region, he said.
He reminded that the territory of Kosovo-Metohija, when looking at the total number of inhabitants, is the territory that the most participants of the wars in the Daesh come from.
The great danger is that they will return to our region and that terrorist acts will be transferred to our region, he said adding that Serbia will continue its active participation in the Coalition for the fight against Daesh.
