Minister of Finance Sinisa Mali spoke today with Head of the World Bank Office in Serbia Stephen Njuguna Ndegwa about the implementation of the current joint projects and future cooperation.
They agreed at the meeting that the preparation of a new partnership framework with the World Bank for the period from 2020 to 2024 should begin in the course of this year.
Mali pointed out that this international financial institution is an important partner of Serbia, and that one of the most important joint tasks is the reform of the Tax Administration and of the tax system as a whole.
The interlocutors also talked about other joint projects that are yet to be implemented, which are related to agriculture and mining.
Mali and Ndegwa stressed that it is important to continue with structural reforms and further improvement of the legislative framework, all with the goal of further growth and development of the economy.
