The government of the Republic of Serbia adopted a series of decrees on incentives and support in agriculture, entrepreneurship and business infrastructure at today's session.
The Decree on the distribution of incentives in agriculture and rural development for 2019 sets out measures for rural development and reallocation of incentives, the volume of funds for credit support and special incentives in agriculture.
Also, the scope of IPARD funds has been identified. In this way, gradual transformation has continued, as part of the process of joining the European Union.
The government of Serbia adopted the Decree on the establishment of entrepreneurship promotion programmes through development projects in 2019, in order to stimulate the investments of micro, small and medium enterprises and entrepreneurs in expanding production and strengthening competitiveness with the aim of creating new jobs.
RSD 500 million will be distributed to micro, small and medium enterprises, entrepreneurs and cooperatives through development projects.
Also, the Decree on the establishment of the Business Infrastructure Development Support Program for the current year has been adopted.
The programme is implemented through infrastructure equipment of business zones and their connection with the environment and improves the infrastructural capacities of local self-governments in order to develop tourism and other economic activities.
The government defined the funds in the amount of one million dinars for the implementation of this programme by the Decree on Determining Support to Small Enterprises for Procurement of Equipment in 2019. The Decree was prepared in accordance with the decision of the government on system support to the sector of small and medium enterprises and entrepreneurs.
In order to encourage the start of independent business, the government adopted a Decree on the establishment of programmes for encouraging the development of entrepreneurship through financial support for beginners in business for 2019.
Through this Decree, grants in the amount of RSD 200 million will support entrepreneurship of women, youth and social entrepreneurship.
The funds are intended for financial support to newly established entrepreneurs, micro and small companies registered at the Business Registers Agency at the earliest in the year prior to the year of filing the applications.
