The government of the Republic of Serbia adopted the Decree on Conditions and Methods of Attracting Direct Investments in the Field of Food Production at today's session.
The decree was adopted at the initiative of the Council for GDP growth and refers to the allocation of incentives for equipment and technology for a higher degree of processing within the food industry.
Establishing the state aid scheme in the food industry, through the provision of financial support, will enable the development and implementation of a procurement programme for new equipment and technology for the food industry.
In accordance with the above, the achievement of the goals foreseen in the Action Plan for the implementation of the Food Industry Development Strategy in Serbia for the period 2017-2022 will be accelerated, opening new jobs and raising the level of knowledge and skills of employees in the food industry.
By adopting this regulation, an environment for faster economic growth, balanced regional development, increased exports and greater competitiveness in this area is created.
At the meeting, the Conclusion was adopted on the adoption of the Agreement between the government of the Republic of Serbia and the European Union on the participation of the Republic of Serbia in the Erasmus plus programme: the EU Programme for Education, Training, Youth and Sports.
The adopted conclusion creates the conditions for full participation in this programme, which will enable the withdrawal of larger funds for the development of education and support for young people, for which it will be able to compete with educational institutions, enterprises, non-governmental organisations and all others interested parties in participating in this programme.
