The Serbian government adopted today the Bill on the Central Population Register, which will ensure the creation of a unified, up-to-date registry in electronic form.
The establishment of this register will reduce the unnecessary burden for citizens and the economy, who have so far been obliged to obtain documents in paper form, and at the same time it will make a positive impact on the field of environmental protection.
Also, a legal basis and a permanent framework for an efficient, reliable and secure system of functioning of public administration will be created, the administrative costs will be reduced, and the security of personal data increased.
The government today appointed the Board of Directors of the National Theatre of Serbia, whose president is Jasna Dimitrijevic, theatre producer and manager of the “Ilija M. Kolarac” Endowment - Belgrade.
The appointment of members of the Board of Directors is a continuation of establishment of the administration of the National Theatre, which should modernise our national theatre, introduce richer and more diverse production, achieve stronger international cooperation and co-production and develop educational programmes.
The government adopted the Decision on placing marked persons on the list, on the basis of suggestion of competent state authorities, and on the basis of a justified conviction that the person is a terrorist, that it finances terrorism, is involved in the activities of a terrorist group or in the carrying out of a terrorist act, or is in connection with the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction.
The government also adopted the Conclusion on the obligation to harmonise the models of administrative procedures for performing entrusted tasks. This conclusion obliges the ministries which are responsible for the work of local self-governments, to update the existing models of administerative procedures and develop new ones three days at the latest from the day this regulation comes into effect.
The Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government and the Standing Conference of Towns and Municipalities will provide technical and advisory support to the relevant ministries in order to update models in a timely manner and publish them on their internet sites.
Athlete Dragan Ristic was awarded a cash prize of €20,000 in dinar counter value for the gold medal won at the European Paralympic Sports Championship - air rifle, held in December this year in Belgrade. The same amount for winning this medal was awarded to his coach Nenad Pajic.
The government awarded a prize of €15,000 in dinar counter value to paralympic athlete Dejan Jokic and his coach Vladimir Pajic for wining the silver medal at the same competition.
