First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic met today in Belgrade with Director-General of the European Commission Migration and Home Affairs Directorate Paraskevi Michou.
Speaking about Serbia's visa policy, Dacic stressed that very important steps were taken in this area, especially with regard to the acceptance of European Union standards.
He pointed out that, when determining the visa regime, Serbia was primarily guided by the possibilities of improving its international position and encouraging economic and tourist cooperation.
At the same time, our side has taken a number of measures in order to prevent possible misuse of the visa-free regime, which, according to the existing indicators, is successful.
Concerning migration, Dacic and Michou concluded that mutual cooperation and solidarity are necessary for the successful regulation of the migrant crisis.
