Serbian Ministry of Interior said that members of the directorate for fighting organised crime have detained Djordje Rasovic from Arilje and Snezana Panajotovic from Nis on suspicion of committing the crimes of theft and robbery, document forgery and carjacking.

The same criminal charges also refer to Aleksandar Radulovic from Belgrade, who is at the moment in a prison in Denmark, where he was arrested with forged documents while committing a criminal act.
Rasovic, Radulovic and Panajotovic, together with British resident Dorothy Fasola May, who is also being prosecuted in Japan, robbed a jewellery store in Tokyo in March last year, taking with them 3.491 billion yen worth of jewellery, said the Ministry.
Since the robbery, the Serbian Ministry of Interior and Belgrade prosecutor’s office were sharing information with the Japanese Embassy in Belgrade and Japanese police officers, who arrived in Belgrade prior to the arrest operation.
Rasovic and Panajotovic, arrested in Belgrade and Podgorica respectively, remain in custody, and the entire operation was carried out at the request of Japanese authorities.
