Young diplomats pillars in fight for vital interests of Serbia

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic said today that the key foreign policy priorities of Serbia are a principled struggle for preserving territorial integrity and sovereignty and continuing the negotiation process with the EU to full membership.

At the ceremony on the occasion of the awarding of diplomas to the participants of the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the 2017/18 generation and the admission of new students, Dacic added that the priorities include further development of good neighbourly relations, improvement of relations and more economic integration with the most influential countries and military neutrality.

Achieving a political solution for Kosovo-Metohija remains our national priority. Serbia proves it with dedication to dialogue with Pristina and fulfill its obligations, in accordance with the principles and values that we nourish and advocate as a state, Dacic emphasised.

He added that Prishtina's moves threaten dialogue and regional stability, leading primarily to the question of the security of Serbs and other non-Albanian population in Kosovo- Metohija.

Even after five and a half years after the signing of the Brussels Agreement, Pristina has not even started with the fulfillment of its commitments, primarily by forming the Community of Serb Municipalities, Dacic warned.
