The Serbian government adopted today the Conclusion on the adoption of the Action plan for the acquisition, adoption and implementation of EU acquis in the field of agriculture and rural development within the framework of Serbia's accession negotiations with the European Union.

All criteria for starting negotiations on Chapter 11 fulfilled

The adoption of this document was set as one of the two criteria for opening negotiations on Chapter 11 – Agriculture and Rural Development. The Action plan for Chapter 11 outlines the plan and dynamic of the harmonisation of the domestic legislation in this field of with the legislation of the EU Common Agricultural Policy in the pre-accession period.
The Action plan for Chapter 11 will be formally submitted to the European Commission as a response to the first criterion for opening negotiations on Chapter 11.
Since the second criterion is considered fulfilled (by submitting a request for entrusting the realisation of the budget for IPARD II), with the adoption of this Action plan all criteria for opening negotiations on Chapter 11 have been met.
