Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Zorana Mihajlovic signed today the Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation on the project of building of the Morava Corridor, i.e. the motorway from Krusevac to Cacak, with US company Bechtel.

After the signing of the Memorandum, Mihajlovic said that the 110-km long motorway will pass through a part of central Serbia which has close to 500,000 inhabitants and which connects the road Corridor 10 with Corridor 11.
She said that the value of this investment is around €800 million, which includes telecommunications equipment and river regulation.
US Ambassador to Serbia Kyle Scott said that the Memorandum signed represents the first fruit of the agreement signed in the field of infrastructure between the Serbian government and the United States.
Bechtel General Manager for Europe, Africa and the Middle East Shaun Kenny, who signed the Memorandum on behalf of the American side, expressed satisfaction with the signing of the Memorandum and gave the estimate that the construction of the motorway will take around two and a half years.
