First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic and Foreign Minister of the Dominican Republic Miguel Vargas Maldonado signed the Memorandum of Cooperation between the two Foreign Ministries on the sidelines of the 73rd session of the UN General Assembly.

Dacic and Maldonado concluded that this is only the beginning of the development of cooperation between the two countries, with the goal of a comprehensive strategy for better positioning of the Republic of Serbia internationally.
The two officials highlighted the two countries' commitment to improving cooperation in all areas of mutual interest. To that end, they agreed to exchange high-level visits in the near future.
