Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Nebojsa Stefanovic and European Commissioner for Internal Affairs and Migration Dimitris Avramopoulos initialed the Agreement between the Republic of Serbia and the European Union on actions conducted by the European Border and Coast Guard Agency in the Republic of Serbia.

At a joint press conference, Stefanovic said that the agreement that was initialed will be sent to the National Assembly for ratification.
It will facilitate an easier joint fight against illegal migration and additional protection for Serbian citizens, he said.Avramopoulos pointed out that the initialed agreement between Serbia and the European Union on actions conducted by the European Border Guard Agency in the territory of the Republic of Serbia will improve security at the external borders of the European Union and better migration management.
