Serbia committed to regional stability, security

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic said today at conference "Security Challenges of the Western Balkans and Serbia" that every solution for Kosovo-Metohija which could be mutually accepted in the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina is good.

Dacic pointed out that he is concerned about the lack of solutions that would be acceptable to both sides, saying that Serbia does not want to create new problems, but to solve the existing ones.

There is yet no solution, but the very fact that the problem is being discussed is a big progress.

He pointed out that our borders were changed contrary to the principles of international law, adding that Serbia aims to turn to a positive agenda, remove problems related to security and stability in the region, and contribute to creating conditions for the conflicts to stop and to open a new page in the relationships.

Dacic expressed his conviction that there will be no obstacles and that no one will oppose the reaching of the agreement between Belgrade and Pristina, but that he is much more afraid of whether Pristina wants an agreement at all or it wants to take a part of the south of central Serbia, the municipalities of Bujanovac and Presevo.

The First Deputy Prime Minister underlined that we do not need solutions that are unsustainable.
