First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic met today with member of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the French Senate Olivier Cadic, who expressed hope that Serbia will soon become a member of the European Union.
Dacic noted a marked improvement in the intensification of political dialogue and the enhancement of bilateral cooperation in the field of the economy in the last year, i.e. since Cadic's visit in November last year.
He expressed expectation that the cooperation between Serbia and France will be even better after the French President's visit to Serbia at the end of this year.
The First Deputy Prime Minister also expressed his gratitude on the support France provides to the European integration of Serbia.
Cadic noted the exceptional contribution of Serbia in areas of global and regional importance such as migration management, participation in peacekeeping missions and the fight against organised crime.
