Consulate of Serbia opens in Antalya

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic and Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu attended the opening of the Consulate of the Republic of Serbia led by Honorary Consul Fikret Ozturk in Antalya.
The event was attended by a large number of officials from the Antalya Province, including the Governor and Mayor of Antalya and prominent businessmen from this part of Turkey.
The consulate is located at the 7-star Regnum Hotel in Belek (Kadriye Bolgesi, Ukkum Tepesi, Mevkii, 07500 Serik, Belek), near the Antalya airport, and it is open to provide assistance and consular protection to our citizens who reside in Antalya region.
The two ministers discussed bilateral cooperation and regional issues and jointly assessed that bilateral relations are at an enviable level.
Economic cooperation is good and now the trade exchange is $1 billion annually, and the goal is to raise it to the earliest time to $3 billion.

The number of tourists from one country to another is growing steadily, and now it is about 100,000 Turkish tourists in Serbia, and 140,000 Serbian in Turkey.
Serbia and Turkey have a high degree of coherence in attitudes on a number of international issues, and efforts should be made in order to improve the position of both countries internationally.
The fight against terrorism, the opening of cultural centres and cooperation in the field of investments are just some of the areas in which further cooperation will deepen.
Both sides have confirmed that they are building such relations, but also that the friendship of Serbia and Turkey represents a joint venture into our future generations.
Dacic reiterated that Serbia is open to all forms of cooperation and that it is a reliable and honest friend of Turkey.
