During the meeting, which is part of Dacic's two-day visit to the United States of America on the occasion of his participation in the Ministerial Conference dedicated to religious freedom and at the ceremonial celebration of the 100th anniversary of the lifting of the Serbian flag at the White House, Dacic expressed the interest of the Republic of Serbia to further improve bilateral relations with the United States and raise them to a higher level, especially bearing in mind the alliance of the two countries in the First and Second World Wars.
Concurring with Dacic's assessment of the need for further improvement of bilateral relations at all levels, US National Security Adviser John Bolton highlighted, in particular, the openness of the current administration of the United States for close cooperation with the Serbian Armed Forces and the Ministry of Defence of the Government of the Republic of Serbia.
The First Deputy Prime Minister used the meeting as an opportunity to express the determination of the Republic of Serbia, as the guarantor of regional security and stability, to their further strengthening, and in that sense transferred the country's readiness for open cooperation with the United States, according to a statement from the Serbian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
