First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic, who is on a visit to Mozambique, met today in Maputo with Foreign Minister of that country Jose Pacheco.
The interlocutors noted that the potential for renewal of cooperation between the two countries in the field of economy, politics, military and educational cooperation is extremely high, especially since it has been at standstill for many years.
It was agreed to exchange high-level visits and to identify areas of common interest for improving cooperation in order to sign the necessary bilateral agreements.
Dacic expressed his special gratitude to his counterpart for the full support of Mozambique to the territorial integrity of the Republic of Serbia and respect for international law.
I want to publicly express full support to the territorial integrity and integrity of Serbia and to distance myself from any separatist movement that can contribute to the break-up of that country, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mozambique said after the meeting.
Dacic presented Pacheco with the Order of the Republic of Serbia on the by which the President of the Republic of Serbia bestowed honours on the President of Mozambique for special merits in the development of bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
