The proposal of this law stipulates that the obligatory use of stamps in business letters and other documents cannot be imposed on companies.
With the beginning of the application of the law, the provisions that oblige legal entities to use seals in 12 other laws cease to be valid.
This decision will significantly influence the improvement of the economic environment, the improvement of Serbia's position on the World Bank’s Doing Business list, and most importantly, the change of mindset among businessmen, but also of the general picture of Serbia in the world.
Thanks to this decision, a new era of business operations in Serbia will start, which will enable the legal entities to gradually switch to electronic commerce using electronic documents and signatures, electronic data exchange, as well as electronically archived documents, with the previously adopted Law on e-business and accompanying bylaws.
The creation and use of seals imposed excessive administration, waste of time, it made business operations more complicated and represented an additional financial burden, so by abolishing its mandatory use, the burden on the economy will be reduced significantly.
