Three education bills adopted

The Serbian government adopted today three bills in the area of education: the Bill on the National Qualifications Framework of the Republic of Serbia, the Bill on Textbooks and the Bill on Education Inspection.
The government also adopted the Bill on the procedure of registration in the real estate cadastre.
The Bill on the National Qualifications Framework of the Republic of Serbia regulates the field of qualifications, links it with the labour market and provides the basis for applying the concept of lifelong learning, which directly develops the individual's potential and improves the entire education system.
The Bill on textbooks regulates the field of preparing, approving, selecting, issuing, withdrawing and monitoring textbooks and manuals and additional teaching materials for primary and secondary school.
For students with disabilities, it is necessary to provide appropriate textbooks, with a special focus on users of free-of-charge textbooks.
The Bill on Education Inspection prescribes the tasks of the education inspector, the authority and the entrustment of inspection supervision tasks to municipalities, cities, as well as determining the number of inspectors in the territory of local self-government.
Years of practice show that it is necessary for education inspectors to work closely with education advisers in situations where their jurisdiction is difficult to distinguish.
By adopting the Bill on the procedure of registration in the real estate cadastre, the government intends to increase the efficiency and timeliness of the cadastre of real estate, systematically apply information technology, simplify and speed up the procedure for registering in the cadastre.
