Priorities of development of information society defined

The Serbian government adopted today the Decision on the establishment of the old centre of Vranjevo as a spatial cultural and historical unit, due to its urban, architectural, cultural and historical values.
Vranjevo represents a centre of cultural and spiritual life of the Serbs in northern Banat during the 18th, 19th and early 20th centuries, and a rarely preserved old centre of village settlements organised according to administrative measures and laws of the 18th century in Vojvodina, with authentic type buildings.
The Serbian government adopted the Conclusion on the adoption of the Action plan for the period 2018-2019 for the implementation of the Strategy for the Development of Information Society in the Republic of Serbia for 2020.
The Strategy defines the main priorities for the development of information society in the areas of public administration, health, justice, education, science, culture and trade.
The aim of the strategy is to enable citizens to perform the necessary contacts with courts, health care systems and other administrative bodies by electronic means. The strategy will, among other things, facilitate shopping and sales through e-commerce, more efficient business, and lowering the cost of doing business.
The Serbian government passed the Decision on awarding sports prize money to taekwondo athlete Milica Mandic in the amount of €15,000 for the silver medal won and €10,000 to Nadja Savkovic for the bronze medal won at the European Taekwondo Championship, as well as to their coach Dragan Jovic.
