The organisation of the "Take the receipt and win" prize contest is one of the important measures of the National Programme for suppressing the gray economy.
Considering the great success of the first round in which almost 40 percent of citizens took part and more than 85 million receipts were sent for competition, the government today adopted the Conclusion on organising a new round of the prize contest, because it was estimated that the record response significantly contributed to strengthening the tax culture of citizens and the economy and building awareness about the importance of paying taxes and responsible business for the benefit of the entire society.
The new round will be organised by the Serbian government in cooperation with NALED and companies gathered at the Fair Competition Alliance.
The prize fund of "Take the receipt and win 2018" will be significantly bigger than last year and will consist of a larger number of cars and apartments that will be awarded to participants in the prize-winning contest during the public drawing.
In addition to raising the awareness of the losses that all citizens of Serbia suffer due to the gray economy, the first cycle had significant fiscal effects.
During the three months of the prize contest, the turnover through fiscal cash registers increased by 33 percent for small taxpayers where the gray economy is most present, whereas tax inspectors registered a quarter less offences in issuing fiscal receipts.
In the same period, non-cash transactions grew by 18.5 percent.
