Decree on allocation of 80,000 vouchers for holidays in Serbia

The government of the Republic of Serbia adopted at today's session the Decree on the conditions and method of allocating and using funds for encouraging the improvement of tourist traffic of domestic tourists on the territory of the Republic of Serbia.
Since tourism is an extremely important branch of the national economy, it directly encourages employment and job creation and contributes to the total gross domestic product, the Government of Serbia has decided to adopt a Decree envisaging the allocation of 80,000 vouchers for holiday in Serbia for the following year.
Vouchers can be used by 20 November next year, throughout Serbia, except Belgrade and Novi Sad.
The government of Serbia has adopted the Decree on the establishment of the official statistics plan for 2018.
Developing programmes and plans of official statistics is one of the important segments in the process of adjusting Serbia to the standards and practices of the European Union.
By adopting programmes and plans, official statistics provide data for monitoring the results of activities, especially in the economic field and assessment of the criteria for the ability to take over obligations from membership in the European Union.
Official statistics are also important in Serbia's relations with other international institutions, such as the United Nations, the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank.
The Serbian government passed a decision to abolish visas for the citizens of the Republic of Suriname at today's session.
