After signing this document, Dacic pointed out that the two countries have a common interest in improving economic cooperation, as our foreign trade exchange amounted to €18 million last year and it is in the best interest to find the best forms for how this cooperation will develop.
He underlined that Serbia and Argentina are two friendly countries, that Argentina retains its principled position on the respect of international law and supports the territorial integrity of Serbia.
He said that Faurie stated clearly that Argentina will not change its stance on Kosovo, pointing out that, on the other hand, Serbia firmly supports Argentina’s positions regarding the Falkland Islands in the dispute with Great Britain.
Dacic stressed that it is important to further develop and improve relations in other areas of common interest, and recalled that a Republic of Argentina park has been opened in Belgrade, and the Republic Square of Serbia will be officially opened today in Buenos Aires, which shows how much the two countries are close and friendly.
He announced that the Argentinian minister will visit Serbia next year since in 2018 it will be 90 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations between Argentina and Serbia.
