Serbian Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica received today Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister Oleg Ribachuk, saying that relations between Serbia-Montenegro and the Ukraine are very good and there are possibilities to further improve economic cooperation and that the signing of a key free trade agreement is around the corner.
Ribachuk stressed that during his stay in Belgrade for the EBRD Annual Meeting, he had an opportunity to verify the country’s European orientation as well as the interest of foreign investors to invest in Serbia and cooperate with domestic companies.
Speaking about the situation in Kosovo-Metohija, Kostunica said that a solution for the province must be sought with full respect of sovereignty and territorial integrity of Serbia-Montenegro and he noted that the preservation of existing borders will improve stability in the region.
The Serbian Prime Minister said that the assessment of standards must be accurate and human rights must be respected in Kosovo-Metohija and that conditions for the return of refugees must be ensured.
The Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister said that the Ukraine is very satisfied with the status of its fellow nationals living in Serbia.
