Government sets up National Council for Tourism Development

The Serbian government adopted today the Decision on the formation of the National Council for Tourism Development of the Republic of Serbia, which aims to establish coordination and communication of all involved parties in the development of the tourism industry and the positioning of Serbia on the tourist map of the world.
The task of the Council will be to point out the importance of increasing competitiveness in the field of tourism in Serbia, as well as achieving a better business climate in tourism.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications Rasim Ljajic was appointed Chairman of the Council.
The government passed the Conclusion on the Adoption of the Contract for the preparation of a preliminary design with a feasibility study for the rail section Novi Sad - Subotica - State Border (Kelebija).
A joint project of modernization of the railway line that connects Budapest with Belgrade is a key project within the framework of cooperation between the People's Republic of China and the countries of Central and Eastern Europe.
At a meeting of the Joint Working Group held in June this year, it was decided that on the entire route of the railroad linking Budapest with Belgrade, the speed of the train should be 200 km / hour.
