The Ministry of Finance stated that this meeting represents the formal beginning of the fourth cycle of the development of the ERP document from 2018 to 2020, based on the Guidelines for production presented in May this year in Brussels by the European Commission, as well as the recommendation of the ECOFIN Council from May this year.
By involving civil society organisations in the process of preparing and implementing strategic documents, the social consensus is being raised when defining public policies and raising the level of understanding the public about the effects that certain policies produce, thereby facilitating their implementation.
The meeting was also attended by representatives of the National Bank of Serbia, the Republic Secretariat for Public Policy, representatives of line ministries of the government of Serbia, civil society organisations gathered in the National Convention on the European Union, the European Union delegations in Belgrade and the OECD.
ERP is a document that the Republic of Serbia, as a candidate country for EU membership, produces annually and contains a mid-term framework for macroeconomic and fiscal policy, as well as concrete priority structural reforms.
