Readiness to further enhance bilateral relations with Turkey

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that bilateral political consultations were held yesterday with representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey.

The statement said that from the Serbian side, the consultations were led by State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Nemanja Stevanovic while Turkey was represented by Undersecretary Umit Jalcin.
The consultations provided an opportunity to review the current state of the overall bilateral relations between Serbia and Turkey, as well as to identify opportunities and directions for further development of bilateral cooperation.
The delegations expressed mutual willingness for further improvement of bilateral relations and cooperation in all areas of common interest, primarily in the field of economy, transport, infrastructure, tourism and culture.
During the consultations, the two sides exchanged views on the most important regional and international topics, the statement said.
