Serbia wants serious engagement in environmental protection

Minister of Environmental Protection Goran Trivan and US Ambassador to Serbia Kyle Scott assessed today that the two countries have good cooperation in the field of environment, but that there is room for improvement and intensification of this cooperation.
During the meeting, Trivan stressed that our country needs support in this area through the exchange of experiences and examples of good practice at the expert level.
The interlocutors jointly noted that the environment is a good platform for cooperation in the region.
Ambassador Scott welcomed the formation of a special ministry to deal with environmental issues, stressing that this is a good sign that shows Serbia's desire to engage seriously in this field.
