Minister of Labour, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs Aleksandar Vulin underlined today during a meeting with UN Resident Coordinator in Serbia and Representative of UNDP Karla Robin Hershey that the UN is a key partner of Serbia, as well as of the relevant ministry.
Vulin expressed his gratitude to representatives of the United Nations for excellent cooperation, their support until now and the professional and other aid that they have offered to Serbia.
Hershey particularly welcomed the efforts of our country and praised the measures implemented by the Serbian government in connection with the care for migrants, children and vulnerable groups, at the same time respecting all laws and international conventions and providing an example to other countries.
She stressed that the UN will continue to provide assistance and to be an active and committed partner to the government of the Republic of Serbia, in particular by working towards achieving the goals of sustainable development according to Agenda 2030, adopted by all Member States of the United Nations.
