Minister of Labour, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs Aleksandar Vulin met today with a delegation from the European Union led by Deputy Director General of the European Commission Directorate for Migration and Home Affairs Simon Mordue.

They spoke about the challenges of migration and the efforts of the European Union and the countries of the West Balkan route to find common solutions and political response to these challenges.
Vulin said that Serbia will continue to deal with the migrant crisis in a humane way and to promote dialogue with the countries in the region and strengthen its capacities for the implementation of measures and policies on migration.
Mordue underlined that the European Union will very closely cooperate with Serbia in order to find common solutions to the challenges faced by countries on the West Balkan route.
Also, he said, the EU will continue to provide significant financial assistance to Serbia, as well as support for capacity building in border management, identification and registration of arrivals of migrants, readmission, return and conditions in reception centres.
